about me

I currently work as the Lead DevOps Engineer for a healthcare startup. My work currently focusing around infrastructure design, implementation, and automation across cloud platforms. Currently this means lots of work in Kubernetes, building pipelines, lots of Terraform, and keeping both the infrastruture and the tooling up to date. I also do quite a bit of programming in Python including APIs, functions, and other random things. I’ve begun to pick up Go as well which I really like for building command line applications.

I am a huge Linux geek, and have been using Linux almost exclusively since the late 90s when I did my first install of Caldera Linux. Although formally trained as a Psychologist I’ve been working on and around Linux professionally since 2008.

Outside of tech I am a husband and a father, and I have far too many hobbies and projects than I have time for. Currently most of my time is spent learning CAD for 3D printing and building/piloting too many Commander decks in Magic the Gathering.
